In this example, you extend the three horizontal lines to an implied boundary, which is where they would intersect the single line if it were extended.

To extend to an implied boundary
- From the Modify menu, choose Extend.
- Select the object for the implied boundary and press ENTER.
- Enter e (Edge).
- Enter e (Extend), or press ENTER if Extend is the current option.
- Select the lines to be extended and press ENTER.
