Filtering Selection Sets in AutoCAD

Using either the Quick Select or Object Selection Filters dialog box, you can filter selection sets by property (such as color) and by object type. For example, you can select all of the red circles in a drawing without selecting any other object; or you can select all objects except the red circles.
With Quick Select, you can quickly define a selection set based on filtering criteria that you specify. With Object Selection Filters, you can name and save filters for future use.

AutoCAD for Dummies: How to Draw an ARC – Part 3

Finally, we are now in the part 3 of the arc drawing in AutoCAD. So to start with, another method of drawing an arc is:

Center, Start, End

This method is the reverse of all the previous method because the starting point is at the center and the second point is the start point. Hope my explanation is not confusing. Again to start drawing, go to menu and choose Draw>Arc>Center, Start, End. AutoCAD will prompt: _arc Specify start point of arc or [CEnter]: _c Specify center point of arc: Then pick your first point ( see Fig. 9 ) on the screen then AutoCAD will prompt again: Specify start point of arc: which means that you should pick another point on the screen using your cursor. This will be the starting point of your arc ( see Fig. 9 ) . Then after that the command prompt will say: Specify end point of arc or [Angle/chord Length]: which you can just drag your cursor clockwise or counter clockwise click your mouse to create the arc.

CAD drafting Services

It’s been quite a while since I last posted in this blog. There’s not much to blog about my previous job as a CAD engineer. But this gives me an idea. I can use this domain to set up my online CAD drafting business. For starters I will only provide from paper to CAD file or electronic files conversion. From hand sketches of customers to a production technical drawing. Mainly on Mechanical drafting since my previous experience is from a semiconductor bonding tools manufacturer where I draft, modify and sometime design capillaries and die bonding tools used in semiconductor machines for bonding microscopic gold wires to those IC ( integrated circuit ). Sometimes I design fixtures used in the production area and draft production floor layout for machines and facilities.
